Writing a Grant Proposal:


Title: Be intriguing, create a fun title that hooks the possible donor

Introduction – Description of your school or agency.

A great way to start writing a grant proposal is to use this sentence starter:

“Help me give my students…”


Project description – Project goal and solution, what you hope to achieve, funding level sought, and identify your population.

***The more information and DETAIL that is shared in the grant proposal the more likely people will be willing to help***

Needs – What problems are trying to address or correct?

Solution – The program you wish to purchase and why?

Project Plan and Activities

Budget – What the grant funds will be spent on.

***Caution: Never Exceed the Funding Amount***

Makes sure that after you follow this template, you SHARE your project as much as you can!

Make sure you send out Thank-you packages to donors. Examples on how to go about doing that are given @

 

I could see myself using this outline in my future classroom, especially being an art teacher. Some things I could see proposing include art supplies that don't fit my budget, opportunities to visit museums, or even technology for students to use as references.
